Construction continues

I'm a little behind on my construction blogs. Two weeks ago my father-in-law and I replaced one of our sliding glass doors. Thank goodness he knows how to install windows/doors. We have saved so much $$$ doing the labor ourself. So when the door was in...my payment was to become Mr. B's barber. So we have one large sliding glass door to be installed and of course the floors and baseboards. This is coming along so much slower than I would like and Vicky would like but I'm a busy guy. So little by little.

What happens after the flood...

As you know our house was flooded a little over a month ago. So thankfully we have received our insurance money. In order to save money I have decided to do all the labor myself so we can used the extra funds to replace our windows.
So the first part of the flood repair was replacing 12 inches from the floor of all of the wall in the entire downstairs.
To prevent our trauma of the flood from possibly occurring again, I painted the cement block with Red Guard (you'll see the red on the floor). This seeps in the cracks of the cement block and seals it. It's like a pink blob like substance the dries red. Then I put caulking in every little crack I could see.
The wall I used to replace the damaged drywall is called Hardi Board which is water repellent and really easy to use.
Here are a couple of pictures of the my repair.
